Heart Dish

This heart dish is a modular dish, made from 4 squares. An apt origami for Valentine’s Day I thought. I am not able to find out the creator of this model. The youtube tutorial that I referred to, mentions that it is Tomoko Fuse, but unfortunately I am not able to find this model under her name on the Origami database. Valentine Day Earrings

Did you know that the traditional gift for a first anniversary is paper? Well, with Valentine’s Day so close, I ended up collecting my favourite paper heart earrings, a unique gift for a unique day. I remade a few of my heart earrings for my daughter. Gift Box

This gift box, designed by Robin Glynn, is yet another of his economical designs. The entire box, including the closure at the top, is made from a single square of paper. A 6-inch square gives a small box (about 2 inches in size, 1 inch in depth) that would be a good size for a ring, or a pair of small earrings. Modular Ring

After completing the Braided Ring a few days back, I was experimenting with folding another ring and ended up with this modular ring. It is made from 15 modules and is pretty easy to fold. I am working on a tutorial for folding this ring. And with Christmas coming up, I have been quite busy making quite a few ornaments. Braided Ring

Yet another design by Martin Sejer Andersen that I recently folded This was initially named ‘The Unnamed Ring’! and has recently been christened the Braided Ring. The ring is made from 14 modules. The modules start off with folding into fifths. So a template comes in handy. I quite like the little bits of colour (white in my case) that can be seen at the edges and at the centre of the ring.
