The 12-unit assembly for the tuberose is a quick one to make, given that the unit itself is easy to fold and it only requires 12 such units I like the spiky look and I think this is there in quite a few of Meenakshi Mukerji’s origami designs. Tuberose
I have been working on another of Meenakshi Mukerji’s origami from her book ‘Ornamental Origami‘. This is the first I am trying after the Sunburst that I had done a couple of months back. The tuberose is actually quite easy to make and is from the same windmill base as the Sunburst. The flower looks rather like a lily, I thought. After a long time I finally got my hands on another origami book, Minigami: Mini Origami Projects for Cards, Gifts and Decorations, authored by Gay Merrill Gross. The book has quite a lot of projects on making origami for cards, including butterflies, flowers, hearts, Christmas decor, birds and quite a bit more.
