Origami Cross Hallelujah! The Lord is risen!!

Happy Easter everyone :)

Though Christmas may the most celebrated festival, Easter is the most important day of the year for a Christian. This is a day to celebrate and rejoice in Christ’s resurrection and His victory over death.

The Hymn ‘Jesus Christ is Risen Today, Alleluia!’ is one of the most beautiful hymn sung during the Easter service, that tells the story of the cross.

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heavenly king, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains which he endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured; Alleluia!
Now above the sky he’s king, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Sing we to our God above, Alleluia!
Praise eternal as his love; Alleluia!
Praise him, all you heavenly host, Alleluia!
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia!

As for the origami bit, it is another cross that I have made :) Well, I have never been comfortable with the bunny and egg part of Easter and later found that these actually have nothing to do with Easter, rather they represent fertility and spring. So since the universal biblical symbol for Easter is the cross, I decided to make another one today :)
