Christmas Lanterns - Tutorial

I love decorating a Christmas Tree for Christmas and this year these lantern balls have been a nice addition to my tree. And as promised, here is a tutorial on how to make them. They are pretty easy to make, kinda similar to the paper strip ball ornaments. They work best with thick paper – card stock, scrapbooking paper. Christmas Lanterns

Bow Ornament

I recently found these bow ornaments, while searching for Christmas ornaments. They were made from paper and looked very pretty! It basically involves cutting strips of paper, stapling them and forming the bows. I really wasn’t up to cutting so many strips, so thought I would attempt them with paper ribbons instead. Modular Ring

After completing the Braided Ring a few days back, I was experimenting with folding another ring and ended up with this modular ring. It is made from 15 modules and is pretty easy to fold. I am working on a tutorial for folding this ring. And with Christmas coming up, I have been quite busy making quite a few ornaments. Braided Ring

Yet another design by Martin Sejer Andersen that I recently folded This was initially named ‘The Unnamed Ring’! and has recently been christened the Braided Ring. The ring is made from 14 modules. The modules start off with folding into fifths. So a template comes in handy. I quite like the little bits of colour (white in my case) that can be seen at the edges and at the centre of the ring.
