Bascetta Star - A Variation

This Christmas has been a very busy time for me. I had participated in a couple of Christmas sales and have been busy making paper jewelry! And paper jewelry is time-consuming work! So I didn’t get a lot of time to make anything special for Christmas 2014. One thing that I did try was this modular star. The star is actually made from Bascetta Star modules. The star requires a total of 24 modules. The [Continued..]

Box Skeleton

The box skeleton is a simple modular origami, made from 24 units. Design is by Jeff Beynon. The modules start from a fish base. Folding the modules are pretty easy and quick. Week 05 (Day 03): Daisy Cube

The origami Daisy Cube is the next in my week of cubes I used a single colour for this and the red is quite eye-catching! But overall, not too pleased with the way it turned out. Week 05 (Day 02): Whirl Cube

The second cube that I tried was the Whirl Cube. This is again a simple modular origami and will take about an hour or so to complete. More than the model, I am crazily in love with the paper that I had used. I had got this paper some time back and for some reason, never got to use it. And now that I have used it, I think I will use it quite a [Continued..]

Week 05 (Day 01): Cubes - Thatch Cube

The Weekly Specials for this month is Cube. All cubes that I will try out this week will be modular origami and will be based on Meenakshi Mukerji’s designs followed by cubes designed by a few other origamists, to make a total of 6 cubes. The origami thatch cube is a simple, modular piece, designed by Meenakshi Mukerji. The cube is made from 24 units. I love the thatchy look of this model And I [Continued..]
