Elephant Bookmark

I have previously made a butterfly bookmark designed by Grzegorz Bubniak. And today, I tried out his elephant bookmark, which clearly shows an elephant’s head. It is quite easy to make out the ears, trunk and tusks. I like the colour change in the tusks. The bookmark works best with duo coloured paper – grey and ivory would be the most ideal colour choice, in which case the elephant would be in grey and the tusks [Continued..]

Leaf Card

This origami leaf card is folded from an A4 or A5 paper. The leaf design is formed by pleating the paper. Paper with print on one side and solid colour on the other works well for design. 6-Sided Letter Holder

The last of the letter holders that I tried is a 6-sided one. I really like this shape. Reassembling this letter holder would be challenging to the person who receives it – it does requires some effort. So be sure to explain how to refold it, to avoid a lot of frustration! I gave it to my sister-in-law and she had a fine time trying to refold it, till I helped her out! Model Details: Model: 6-Sided [Continued..]

Penguin Bookmark

This little penguin is a teaching model designed by Valerie Vann (She is best known for her magic rose cube).  And it does teach quite a few folds – crimps and sinks and double rabbit ear and close sinks. It looks simple but it does involve some effort. Best to try out on a larger square before trying out on a smaller on. The penguin can stand by itself, just spread the base and it [Continued..]
